Traditional and contemporary kilts sewn to order

I use a slightly different left side buckle arrangement, it’s very easy to use ,  it’s not the usual fastening, but only takes a moment to master. There is no feeding the leather strap through a slot in the side of the pleats, the buckle is attached to the inner apron, and the strap to the inside side on the lining.

From the outside there is no buckle showing, and nothing for the kilt belt to catch on. It also means that adjusting the  buckle position  in the future is much easier as there is no cut out slot in the kilt.

This method is not a new idea, and I feel it gives a much cleaner finish.

The right hand  side of the kilt  has the exterior buckle as is usual
